Milpitas Food Pantry FAQ's

Milpitas Food Pantry is a non-profit that has been helping residents since the 1950s. We primarily serve families with children, but we will help anyone in need. We provide meals to roughly 500 clients per month and over 2,000 unique clients per year.


Details

Hours: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

Budget: The Pantry purchases about $1,000 of food per week, which is roughly half of our expenses.

Staffing: As of June 2026, the pantry has 4 staff and 7 recurring volunteers, with an additional 4 volunteers who work the clothes closet.


What we Provide

Food: The Pantry provides approximately three days of food to clients every 28 days and once a week to our unhoused clients.

Clothing: The Pantry has a free clothes closet and treasure trove for household items.

Donations: The Pantry gratefully receives food and more from drives at local schools, Scouting America, Girl Scouts, religious institutions, companies, and community members.
